Printed and Stitched Exhibit
BECKONING FIGURE2
Textile Mixed Media 11"x14" framed
I created Beckoning Figure2 by embellishing my original black ink etching of a female figure stepping out of her confined space. Adding paint, gauze, rice paper, metallic paper, ribbon, thread, vellum, and even printed images of figures from my other etchings and lithographs onto tea bags, Beckoning Figure2 became a mixed media textile. The sharp etched lines contrast with the curved tactile stitched lines and soft lines of my original stone lithograph prints.
